Cabin plan of CHRONOS
The cabins of CHRONOS are named after winds. The beds of the 10 Deluxe cabins (D) can be provided as double bed, single bed or family bed (up to 2.55 m wide). Our 2 Long cabins (L) have fixed double beds. The largest and most beautiful cabin is our Master Cabin, which is even more spacious and also offers a large double bed. All cabins have their own bath/WC with shower cabin.
The term "Chronos" symbolizes in Greek mythology, the continuous course of things, even the concept of time. Kronos – the Father of Zeus – was afraid that his children would become too powerful for him, which is why he ate all of them as a precaution. Only the youngest, Rhea, made sure that he swallowed a stone instead of Zeus. When he vomited this later, Zeus was already too powerful and became the highest of all gods.
The CHRONOS, designed and built by the Turkish shipyard Ark Yacht in Bodrum, was also designed by Klaus Röder (Carpe Diem Yacht Design) and was built in only 15 months construction time. It was christened on June 15, 2013 in a moving ceremony and then put into operation on June 29, 2013. The classic rig of a Bermuda Ketch with a large boom was conceptualised and designed by Klaas Huizinga.
The CHRONOS with its 1000 m² sail area is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and fastest sailing yachts in the world despite the high safety requirements of a passenger ship according to today's rules.
