The RHEA, which was commissioned in spring 2017, is like its sister ship CHRONOS one of the most beautiful mega sailing yachts in the world with its 1000 m² sail area and a length of 54 m.

Approved as a small passenger ship up to 26 guests under Dutch flag, it meets the latest safety requirements and is equipped with modern navigation and sailing technology – embedded in the ambience of a classic staysail ketch.
In addition to a huge free teak deck, it has a sheltered bar, a dining area in the deck house and another seating and dining option outside on the

back deck. Below deck you will find 13 air-conditioned, comfortable double cabins.
The 10-member crew will do their best to lovingly care for you at a high level.
The name RHEA comes from Greek mythology and stands for the mother of Zeus, as well as partner of the father Kronos or Chronos.

Cabin plan of the RHEA

The cabins of the RHEA are named after explorers. The beds of the rear 10 cabins can be made up as a double bed, single beds or family bed. The front 3 cabins have fixed double beds. All cabins have their own bathroom/WC with shower cabin.

On the RHEA, up to 26 guests can sleep in 13 comfortable double cabins – all air-conditioned (individually adjustable) and with a private bath. In addition, up to 6 extra beds can be placed in the Deluxe Cabins.

RHEA – data & facts

"RHEA" is the goddess mother of Zeus and she hid this before Chronos/Kronos the father. He was afraid that his children would become too powerful for him, which is why he ate all of them as a precaution – only the youngest, Rhea, made sure that he swallowed a stone instead of Zeus. When he vomited this later, Zeus was already too powerful and became the highest of all gods.

The RHEA, like the sister ship CHRONOS, was designed and built by the Turkish shipyard Ark Yacht in Bodrum, designed by KlausRöder (Carpe Diem Yacht Design). RHEA was built from 2016 to May 2017 and was christened on April 30, 2017 in front of the island of Delos, the centre of the Cyclades. The classic rig of a Bermuda Ketch with a large boom was conceptualised and designed by Klaas Huizinga.

The 1000 m² sail area gives her very good sailing performance, especially at half wind. The tasteful teak and mahogany finish makes it one of the most stylish classic yachts.
